I just finished the 5th draft on my paper ... and I'm ready for bed.
Tomorrow, I'll read through it one more and then off to school I go ...
I pray that I receive a good grade on my paper, as it's my first paper since my Kwantlen years, so I'm pretty nervous about it.
Well, as soon as I finish my class ... Surrey here we come !!!

Phew !!!
I emailed and called my professor this morning ... and I did not misunderstand the instructions outline like I thought, so my visit to the agency is a-okay ...
And then! This afternoon I was able to obtain visits to 2 more agencies in the next couple weeks!! I need a total of 4 visits@ different agencies ...
Ah ... the power of prayer ... God knew how panicked and scared I was and he provided me with 3 visits in the next couple weeks ...
Thank you God.

I think I misunderstood my outline for one of my classes ... ironically it's the same one that i got 90% on the first quiz ...
I'm suppose to visit an agency and write a report on it ... well, i think i'm visiting the wrong type of agency next week ...
Oh i want to cry!!
The report is due next week, and I'm on a limited time schedule ... my back-up agencies haven't contacted me back ... and I want to cry!!!
Okay ... relax ... breathe ... pray ... eat ...
yes, I wrote "eat" ... i've been starving all day long ... too much caffeine, not enough food ...
tonight i have quite the busy schedule:
- research more agencies
- contact more agencies (beg for a visitation)
- read chapters for classes thursday & friday
- finish 2nd draft of essay - due friday
- work on paper due next week
- study for midterm next week
all afternoon i was anxious and tense ... and then after sending a frantic email to my husband ... and praying and begging to God to help me ... i'm feeling better ;)
i must be feeling better b/c i'm stuffing my face quickly with dinner and blogging at the same time ...

I took my first quiz of the semester ... and got 9 out of 10 ... Woo-Hoo !!!
Now I'm so unmotivated to do any work :) Just kidding ... onwards I plug on, b/c I've got a lot to do this week and next ... yikes!
I still have papers due this week and next, plus a big midterm next week ...
Please keep praying that I do well!!

I find myself talking to God almost every spare moment I have ...
Whether I'm walking in the hallways at school, down the aisle at superstore, sweeping the kitchen floor, or right before I drift off to sleep ...
I find that in everything that I do, I lift my heart to our Lord ... I always pray that my life is for Him and that all that I do it is according to His will.
There are times when I'm afraid that the decision that I'm about to make is not the right one, that at the end of the day ... it's not what God wanted for me ... but I always lift my heart, and ask Him to take care of it ... to guide me with his love, strength and wisdom ...
My life is filled with so much love and so much joy b/c I know that I have Jesus in my life and in my heart.

What ?!?!
October is just around the corner?!?!? Where in the world did September go?!?!
Oh lanta, that means that the first week of October I have midterms and papers due ... oh God please help me ...
Well, guess I'll kick off my October celebrating at Rodney's wedding ;) Unfortunately, I'll only be home for 1 full day ... just enough to attend my childhood friends wedding, and then gotta book it as fast as I can back here for my midterms ... yikes.
Can someone please write my papers and write my midterms for me?

... you are blogging @ school ;)
Not a good thing!!
Actually, my class ended 45 mins early, so I thought I'd try my laptop out to see if I could get internet ... and I did! And now, here I am blogging ...
Not a good thing!!
Actually, I'm going to be stuck working on papers for the next 3 1/2 hours, so I'm kinda taking an early break b/c once I get into the library, I don't leave until my afternoon class ... and then after that ...back in the library to work some more work until early evening ...
My parents left this morning ... *sniff - sniff* ... but it was rather funny b/c their only going to be gone for a few weeks and then they are back here!! Woo-Hoo!!
Meanwhile, my fridge and freezer is packed to the max with pre-cooked meals for me and my boys ... yummy!!! It's only 9 a.m. and I'm already thinking about the kare-kare I'm going to eat tonight ... umnn ...
Okay, enough blogging for the day and off to the land of research papers, studying for midterms, and having my bum ache for 3 1/2 hours of just sitting.
*sigh*
Oh well, can't complain b/c this is what JC and I prayed for ... this opportunity in this program ... please keep me in your prayers that I do well ... school life is very different when you are "older" and have a family ... you're not just working for yourself, but your family too.

Tidbit #1:
Last week I was walking from my car to school and noticed these posts in the parking lot. At first I didn't think anything of it, and then I looked closer and noticed there were plugs in each of the posts.
Now, why in the world would all these posts have plugs in the parking lot?
Then it dawned on me ... during winter some people plug in their cars engines b/c sometimes when it's super cold the car won't start - therefore you need a block heater to start the car.
... I thought it was pretty interesting since we never had that back home ;)
Tidbit #2
Tim Horton's coffee isn't the same when you have to put your own cream and sugar ... at school the Tim's is so busy with all the caffeine-infected students that you have to add your own cream and sugar
I tried it last week ... and it just isn't the same
Tidbit #3
My parents are leaving tomorrow :( My mom has been cooking up a storm! She's made and frozen so much food that our freezer in the garage is having a hard time closing! Mom is so thoughtful, she cooked so much food that I won't have to cook while going to school ... and by the time we finish all the food, mom and dad will be back again next month!!!
Tidbit #4
I'm slowly getting use to waking up between 5:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m. (depending on our work/school schedules) that on the days that I want to sleep in ... I can't!

I'm not one to complain ... not really.
But gas prices sure have gone up the past little while and with that, so have the air fares!
Just a few weeks ago, it cost $700 just to fly back home to BC ... oh my lanta!!! JC and I use to budget only $250 ...
Yikes!!!
We're also looking into getting a small honda civic for our everyday travels ... I use the Pilot for work and school - and so it's quite the gas chugger ... we average a hefty sum weekly just on gas ... so we're looking into a used civic for our every day city travel
Anyone know anyone selling a used civic?

(0) commentsMy Kuya, Daryeen and Isaiah are on their honeymoon and a well-deserved vacation.
Originally they were suppose to do the Virgin Islands, but b/c there was a storm, they were re-routed to Jamaica, Mexico and the Caman Islands ... also, as a bonus, they were upgraded to a room with a balcony!
My parents, JC and i have been so excited for their trip ... ever since we went on our cruise we've been dying for them to experience it as well ... nothing beats the all you can eat ... 24 hours a day! Plus the request of home cooked filipino food from the kitchen ... ummmnn ... I swear, I think we gained 5-10 pounds just on our trip :)
I can't wait to hear their stories, and see the pictures ... their going to have so much fun!! I'm so happy for them.

My life has turned another chapter with my school ...
I'm finding life is passing me by so fast ... my time is consumed with work, school and my home life ... but I can't complain b/c I'm deliriously happy and feel so blessed.
I'm loving all my classes ... well, except for the upcoming assignments and exams :) But that's okay, just another challenge for me ... God willingly I will get A's in all my classes ;)
I have this particular routine now ... I always take about 10-15 minutes before all my classes to listen to my Christian music on my IPOD ... it always calms me and helps me prepare myself for my class.
Everyone in my classes seem to be okay ... we range from 17-48 years of age ... one girl who was 20 years old told me that I'm old ... I laughed it off b/c I was thinking, "really? i don't feel old" ... but oh well. I guess everyone views age differently, and as long as I don't feel and look my age ... I'm all good :)
The one thing I've noticed though is that I have less time to blog and email !!! Any spare time I have it's either destined for the laundry or cleaning :) ... But oh well, that's what the weekends are for I guess ;) Or for those times when I'm procrastinating ;)

Last week I had my first week of school ...
I must say, much has changed since I first started college years ago ... for example, when I was walking down the hall almost everyone had either a cell phone or an ipod stuck to their ear ... very different from my Kwantlen years ...
My classes are quite interesting ... I really enjoy the learning and reading ... but it's the assignments and exams to come that have me quite frightened ... but oh well, guess that just means I need to work harder ;)
Going back to school full-time is quite different this time around ... I mean, I'm married ... have a family ... plus work ... I've got more responsibilities now !! ... I have to always remind myself to sit back and pray before I get all anxious and overwhelmed.
My husband is a great support ... last week we drove me to school and picked me up since it was my first week ... and he's been really helping me at home (but he always does though) so that I can have more time to study and read my textbooks ... I'm very blessed
And, Mom and Dad are coming this week ... and mom said that she'll cook all the meals while I'm in school so I don't need to worry about cooking for my guys ... awww ... isn't she so sweet?
I'm so blessed.

(3) commentsI've recently noticed that I have a Security Blanket ... i've noticed the past little while that whenever i get anxious or start freaking out ... i look for my Security Blanket ... my husband
Last week, when we were flying out of Cali ... I was sitting by the gate ... freaking out as usual (for those of you who don't know I hate flying and have this unreasonable fear) ... i was getting so anxious and so scared ... and then JC walks up to me ... and I took one look at him ... and all my fears and anxieties went away ... I was so amazed that by one look, all my fears went away ...
And then this evening, I was stressed out over something and I couldn't sleep ... my heart was heavy and my mind was freaking out ... I didn't want to call JC @ the hospital, but I couldn't calm down ... I thought that I might have an anxiety attack over my worry (well, okay, not really, but I was pretty scared) ... so I picked up the phone to call him ...
Less than 5 minutes was our conversation ... and just the sound of his voice ... the reassurance of his prayers for me and the situation I was stressing over ... it lifted all my anxieties ...
Amazing ... I was so shocked at how just hearing his voice @ how it calmed me down ...
I know though that it's really God that is lifting my anxieties and that he is using my husband to help me ... and i feel so blessed and so loved that the Lord our God has blessed my life with JC
Thank you Lord for my loving security blanket ...

I've got lots and lots to blog about ... I don't know where to begin!
My birthday came and went before my eyes ... just like last year and the year before. I was never big on celebrating my birthday ... to be honest, I'm quite shy with the attention ... but ever since I met JC - I love my birthday's ... now I count not my age, but the number of years I've been "Mrs. JC" ...
The day after my birthday, JC and we left for California ... we decided to stay in the heart of San Fran for 4-5 days before meeting up with the family in Sonoma Valley for Ate Yvette's wedding. We did all the touristy stuff ... cable cars, coffee in small cafe's, walking up those huge hills! (no wonder everyone in San Fran looks amazing!), Pier 39, union square and more and more and more!
Saturday we drove up to Sonoma Valley with our cousin JP from New Jersey and his friend Alex ... met up with the whole Mangalindan clan at the family BBQ ... and anxiously waited for our cousins wedding the following day ...
Ate Yvette and Mike were married at Annadel Winery & Garden ... oh and wow - talk about straight out of hollywood and a Martha Stewart magazine. If any of you get a chance, ask to see Kuya's video ... he's probably not yet finished - but we were able to see a 2 minute reel of what he did capture - and oh my gosh ... Kuya really captured the emotions and the beauty of the day. I'm so impressed and so proud of my Kuya and his amazing talent ...
The wedding took place in the vineyard with the dancing and drinks and all the festivities outside in the garden ... I can't even describe in words how beautiful and breathtaking the wedding and reception was. You're really going to have to watch Kuya's video ... I'm hoping he will eventually put it on his website ... www.halovideoproductions.com
At the wedding my cousins and relatives had quite the reunion ... especially with the open bar and the dancing. Tito Lito and I decided to have our first drink of the night together ... I had my first martini ever with Tito Lito (and my 3rd and 4th with him too ... I think ... I know we had a couple drinks together - but I think I lost count somewhere) ... meanwhile as I was drowning down the martini's (my new favourite drink) ... my husband, all my boy cousins and my kuya were doing shots ... all night long ... I have no idea how many these boys drank ... but I know that most of them were drunk before the dancing started ...
The night was filled with lots of drinks ... shots and beer for the boys ... and martini's for me ... and filled with lots of dancing! By the time it was time to go ... I was feeling the ill effects of the many martini's that my husband warned me about (mental note for the next wedding - only 2 drinks ... and listen to the husband) ...
And so on the shuttle bus home ... I kept praying that I will make it back to the hotel without throwing up ... well, I did make it to the hotel ... but not my hotel room. As soon as the bus parked and people started leaving, I threw up in JC's long sleeve (thank God I had that otherwise I would of thrown up in the back of the bus on the seat) ... and as I was walking to the hotel room ... I threw up some more in his long sleeve ... and then finally I made it to the bathroom ... and threw up in the bathtub ... now as I'm taking a shower ... my loving husband checks on me ... I'm not doing so well ... but I'm okay ... I respond ... and then he promptly throws up too ... my husband continues to throw up a couple more times throughout the night ...
meanwhile as my husband and I are sick ... I later find out that we were not the only ones getting sick in their hotel rooms ... apparently, so were my cousins!
Ahh, the stories we all have to share. It was such a fun time with my cousins and my relatives ... what a reunion! After the wedding we were all talking about the next wedding ... Clint and Kim ... ah, until next year !!!
