My oh My, what a Father's Day Weekend!
On Friday, we went to The Keg with JC's family to celebrate.
On Saturday, we went to Prince's Island and Bowness Park ...
On Sunday, we had Chinese buffet after church ...
and then on Tuesday, when we get to Surrey, we'll be celebrating with Papa Ben ... my oh my, JC's got to celebrate Father's Day not 1, not 2, not 3 days, but 4 days!!
Lucky guy!
Well, he deserves it as he's such a good father to Eliana. We are so blessed to have in our lives.
Thank you Lord for JC, my Dad, Papa, Kuya, and our Ninongs ...

On Saturday the gang met up at Brian's grave for his birthday. Afterwards we hung out at the Molina's where Eli had a lot of fun with Mateya's toys and we got to meet Trang/Ron's Henry and Diane/Sean's Xander. How strange our get together's are filled with babies and kids running around,
It's hard to believe that it's almost 2 years that Brian's been gone ... he never got to meet his goddaughter, Eliana, but I know he's smiling down at her.
We Miss and Love you Brian.

I'm exhausted. My Eli has another cold ... and was up for quite some time last night. I could use a nap, but someone really does not want to sleep ...

Seriously, where do the days go? I find that my days go by so fast that I just "blink" and it's gone. I also find that I do not get all that I want accomplished in the day ... but I have to pace myself ... as Anne-Marie and JC always tell me - I can't do it all and I need to ask for help. Which I do, but at times ... I guess, I should be asking for more help so that I don't burn out or get panicked.
Today I was holding Eli, and I was trying to remember the feel of her when she was a newborn. How I miss holding her when she was just a few weeks old ... now she's all over the place and wants to be held only when she's tired and doesn't want to walk anymore :) (Just kidding).
Anyways, below is a picture of the 3 of us at Chapters. We can spend hours in the kid section at Chapters ...

I'm done homework.
Finished up some work.
And after checking out kijiji for any good deals ... I think it's off to bed I go. But dang-it all, I shouldn't have had that coffee a few hours ago. But I was feeling so awful and I knew I had a lot of work to get done ... but oh well.
(did i mention how much i LOVE kijiji?!?!?!)

I'm in the middle of homework.
Yes, I should be doing homework ... but I need a mini-break. So here's a quick blog.
The other day, JC, Eli and I were driving (well, JC was driving ... Eli and I were in the back) ... and we were rear-ended. Not fun at all. There's damage on our vehicle ... so the past few days have been busy (well, JC has been busy) with all the usual accident stuff plus ... phone calls ... phone calls ... and more phone calls. I'm so thankful JC is handling all of this stuff ... I'm so lost w/o him!
Anyways, gotta get back to my homework.

Okay, so I'm trying to blog again.
I know, I haven't been much in the mood the past year ... but i'll try. I can't promise it'll be frequent ... and i can't promise they'll even make sense ... as it's usually past midnight that i can get online ... and my brain is already pretty much fried ... and all i want to do is crash for the night.
So here we go ...

(0) commentsSeriously, kids toys are just so dang expensive ... a person can spend $100 dollars on a toy ... and the child will only play with it for 10 minutes or even 11!
I admit, i have spent a pretty penny on some of my daughter's toys ... why not? Especially when you got gift cards as gifts?!?!?
I am quite the fan of kijiji (as many of you already know) ... more so than craigslist. I've found so many good deals for toys for Eli ... but to be honest, a lot of the times, I'm not quick enough to pick up the item ... by the time I'm free, the item has already been sold. I've also learned not to even bother bargining down ... everytime I tried that ... the item was sold. Right now I'm on the hunt for a sand box, a water table, and a train table. I've found some good ones already, but like I said, by the time I was available to pick it up - it had already been sold.
A lot of the times I go onto Kijiji just for "kicks". See what deals are out there ... ponder upon some items to buy (even if I don't need it ... but it's such a good deal!) ... how I love kijiji!

Our little girl is growing so fast. I'm amazed at how fast time flies. As I watch Eli grow and develop, I keep saying "she's so smart! ... she's so smart!" ... I am truly amazed at how much she learns and picks up without us even knowing.
We've been teaching Eli some sign language and she's been signing and saying words such as: thank you, please, more, all done ... basically the usual "baby sign language" words.
I guess all parents go through this phase of ... "my child is brilliant!" .... but okay, seriously, aren't you amazed at how much children soak in and imitate you? Sometimes it can be a little freaky, b/c you don't even realize just how much they've picked up!
