Happy Birthday "Week" Love

As you probably read on the previous post from my husband, I threw him a surprise birhday party with some of his friends.

I just wanted to send out a Thank You to everyone that called, emailed and stopped by on Saturday for JC's birthday.

It really meant a lot to us.

To love - I love you ... I pray that you had a wonderful birthday week ... God bless you love

B-day & X-box night

So for the past couple of weeks my wonderful wife has been planning a surprise b-day party for me.... however, due to my constant nagging to go out for dinner last night (Sat night), she eventually told me the reason why she - along with my parents and brother - has been stalling and cancelling our dinner plans for this weekend. .... yes I was still surprised...

The crew brought over their X-box consoles over and I managed to borrow my parent's t.v. - such a blessing or else we'd be using a little dinky 13" to play Halo... just doesn't work.

So... thanks everyone for coming by... and thanks for bringing your stuff - I had an awesome time although I'm obviously an X-box virgin...

Daryeen, heard you called.... thanks for the shout out... say "hi" to your two boys for me.

Oh.... and dang... did anybody else see Randy Couture get rocked by a straight right from Liddell? My man was O-U-T!!! .... it's 1-1 now... there's gotta be a part 3!

See you all later... thanks again for the greetings, phone calls and emails.
And especially... thank you to my wonderful wife. It was an awsome birthday-week - lub ya!

Dang!!!

Tried to start up the hot tub tonight. No high speed... leaks around the pump... I can't access the motor due to the weird housing the former owner put it in.
A couple of years ago, when I hired a guy to inspect our tub, the dude said the motor didn't look so good - that it had signs of leaking in the past. "Yeah right" I'm thinking... this dude wants an easy buck. Anyway, he said it should be good for at least a few more months if not a year so of course I opted to stick with it.
Well... here I am.... can't figure out what the heck's wrong with it... maybe the dude's right and its way past due?
Ooohhh boy! All I can see is the $$$ that we'll be spending fixing this thing.

So... after cleaning the tub, filling it, getting things all set up.... I'm now draining it 3 hours later.

I was so looking forward to making fart bubbles with my wife... guess it'll have to wait.

Getting Back in Groove

So my parents left on Saturday ... which I was a big bawl of tears all day long. I cried from the afternoon all the way into the early evening. But, after talking to my parents - knowing they were home safely and getting the house prepared for Isaiah ... I felt better.

My kuya, Darleen and Isaiah arrived home last night ... and my mom said that Isaiah is so big now! I was joking with my mom - asking her if he still remembered her. She said, "of course! Well, I am wearing the same shirt I wore when he was born!" She's so funny.

Today JC and I spent the day together just driving around and walking around the mall. We're slowly getting back in the groove of things and our everyday schedule.

Our next step is getting ready for our vacation. Woo-Hoo !!!

The Flood Gates

My parents left for home this afternoon. Actually, their flight just landed a little go (Thank you God for a safe and smooth flight).

For some reason, I can't stop crying. All morning, I had a hard time keeping my tears at bay, then when I had to say bye at the gate, I couldn't hold it in anymore. And now the flood gates are open ... I can't seem to close them.

At the gate, my dad was hugging me while I was crying ... and I just couldn't stop. You know, you try to put on a brave face, but I just couldn't do it.

I don't know why I'm having such a hard time, but I am, and I can't stop from feeling sad.

To be honest, the only thing that is helping me with this (beside praying of course) is that mom and dad get to see Isaiah tomorrow. (lucky them).

Well, I guess it's just part of growing up. My parents had to go through the same thing, so if they can handle it - I guess so can I.

I am so thankful for the time JC and I had with my parents. It was so much fun, and we spent so much quality time together ... we had long talks ... lots of jokes ... and of course ... lots of meals.

I can't wait to see them again (soon, please God) ... and of course, Kuya, Darleen and Isaiah (soon, please God)

Can't Sleep.

It's 1am ... and I can't sleep.

I want to wake the husband up so we can talk b/c I'm so bored, but he has to up by 5am b/c he's working a day shift tomorrow. So maybe that won't be such a good idea.

My other option is to eat the samosa's and baklava in my kitchen ... but my butt is getting big. So maybe that won't be such a good idea.

I was also thinking of calling Kuya in Winnipeg ... but it's 2am there. So I guess that's not a good idea either.

Ummn ... i'm bored ... i can't sleep ... this is not fun. (well, my laptop is fun - but i'm hungry and bored still)

Too Fun.

Love and I are really enjoying our new laptop. Since we don't have a tv in our room, we've been using our new laptop to watch movies ...

Last night, Lexie, Chey, and JC's parents came by for dinner. We were able to show them video clips and pictures of Isaiah on the lap top ... it makes it so much easier to bring the laptop around instead of asking people to all come to the office.

This is way too much fun.

And then, the cool thing is that you can read books on-line too ... so guess what i'll be doing when Love is working nights!!??!!

Queen.

My parents have been here for a couple days ... and every day ... every meal is like a feast. I eat like a fat queen every meal.

Oh ... wait let me rephrase that ... a happy fat queen. ;)

Got Me a New Toy

I can't believe it ... I got me a new toy ... well, actually someone else gave it to me ... but anyways, I got a new toy ... in fact I'm using it right now ... a new lap top !!

I've never had a lap top before, I've only borrowed my brother's a couple times ... but now that I have my own ... I feel all important and rich. I can't believe I have my very own lap top.

It really makes a difference having a lap top where you can work anywhere in the house. For the past 2 weeks I've been working in our office downstairs ... I've been working till 2am, 4am even 6 am trying to meet a deadline we have for this week ... and let me tell you - staying in that office for 2 weeks straight can get to be quite depressing. Not only is it dark, but it's so far away from my boys (and the kitchen). Well, now that I have this lap top - I can work in the dining room where the light is so much brighter, I have a view of the front yard, many windows ... oh and of course the best part ... I'm closer to my boys ... oh and the kitchen of course!

On a side note, we're having a great time with mom and dad. We brought them to our favourite breakfast place here in Calgary ... "Nellie's" ... which is the same name as my mom. Mom and dad liked "Nellie's" so much that they asked if we can go again next week.

By the way, my kuya just posted his promo video on Isaiah's website - have a look when you have a chance ... it's simply amazing. It may take a little time to download, but let me tell you it's really worth the wait. I was all screaming and "ohhh" and "awww" about it when I first viewed it last night. (which of course I viewed it on my new laptop)
