Who would of thought it?
I had this veggie burger at Moxie's and it was super yummy! For a long time I use be "Veggie Burger" ... what in the world?!?! But when I first tried it at Milestones a couple years ago ... I was hooked!
On Saturday I tried the veggie burger at Moxie's ... and boy was it good. So now I'm on this veggie burger fix ... gotta find the restaurant that sells the "best" one. So far of the 2 that I have tried ... Milestones rocks.

My week was so busy & I was so exhausted after trying to meet a deadline on Wednesday afternoon. As soon as the meeting was finished, my body went into shut-down mode ... so JC suggested we have a "date day" on Thursday.
We went for coffee, had brunch, walked around the city, talked for hours ... and then in the evening we went to see a movie.
It was so much fun! No worries, no deadlines, no responsibilites for the day ... just my husband and i.
I can't wait for another "date day" ...
Married life just gets better and better each day with my husband.

Sometimes people say to me "You seem so happy - Marriage seems to suit you" ... I always pause at this statement and have the need to correct them. Yes, I'm super happy - but the reason I have joy in my heart is because I have Jesus in my heart first and always ...
Before my husband and I started dating - I prayed to God that He would send me someone that would pray with me, uplift my spirit, and help me be stronger in my relationship with Him. Once I lifted my trust and my everything to God ... He sent me the greatest blessing of my life ... my husband.
My husband and I pray together as much as possible ... we know that our lives and our marriage is a gift from God. Every day I give thanks to God for this blessing ... I know that this marriage would not be possible without His love and blessings.
My life is filled with so much love and joy because I put Jesus as the center of my life. My husband has not only made me stronger in my relationship with our Lord - but has given me so much love ... happiness ... and joy ... I cannot express in words just how blessed I am because of my husband.
My dad was right all those years ago ... "the family that prays together, is the family that stay's together".

Where did the time go?
JC and I surprised the family by arriving in Surrey a couple days earlier than scheduled - you should have seen the look on everyone's face! I think the only one not surprised was Isaiah ... well, until I picked him up and he started to cry :)
The second I held my nephew and godson - I started to cry. There's something amazing about holding your nephew for the first time ... Darleen and my Kuya are wonderful parents ... and it's such a joy to see the happiness that God has blessed this new family.
Our trip to Surrey was very fast and very busy ... we ended up going to California to visit Nanay ... it was so cute b/c when we arrived Nanay was looking at my tummy asking if I was pregnant yet. And my cousins! Goodness, they are so tall! No longer babies!!! Well, in my mind - they'll always be babies ...
Now we're home again, wondering where the time has gone. It felt like our trip was only a handful of days - we went by way to fast. But I'm so thankful that I got to spend time with Isaiah and Nanay.
So - the big question everyone has been asking me ... who does Isaiah look like? 100% Darleen!!! I think the only thing Isaiah got from my Kuya was his hair and snoring :) It was so cute to hear him snore :) Ah ... like Lolo, like Dad, like son ... all snoring loud !!! :)

On Saturday JC and I surprised everyone here in Surrey-ville by coming 4 days earlier than expected. It was so funny to see the look of surprise on everyone's face. I think the only one not surprised was Isaiah :)
Our nephew is so cute! And long!!! I think this kid is going to grow up to be tall. Everyone is asking me who Isaiah looks like ... for me, I think he's 99% Darleen, but the 1% trait he did receive from our side of the family is the snoring! He's only 3 weeks old and my nephew snores like us! It's so cute b/c whenever you're holding him he's always looking at you with these beautiful eyes ...
It's good to be home with Isaiah ...
