Sometimes people say to me "You seem so happy - Marriage seems to suit you" ... I always pause at this statement and have the need to correct them. Yes, I'm super happy - but the reason I have joy in my heart is because I have Jesus in my heart first and always ...
Before my husband and I started dating - I prayed to God that He would send me someone that would pray with me, uplift my spirit, and help me be stronger in my relationship with Him. Once I lifted my trust and my everything to God ... He sent me the greatest blessing of my life ... my husband.
My husband and I pray together as much as possible ... we know that our lives and our marriage is a gift from God. Every day I give thanks to God for this blessing ... I know that this marriage would not be possible without His love and blessings.
My life is filled with so much love and joy because I put Jesus as the center of my life. My husband has not only made me stronger in my relationship with our Lord - but has given me so much love ... happiness ... and joy ... I cannot express in words just how blessed I am because of my husband.
My dad was right all those years ago ... "the family that prays together, is the family that stay's together".
