This evening I received an email from a close family friend. Her husband passed away suddenly yesterday.
I was in so much shock, it did not hit me until I heard JC repeat the words to his parents. My heart just broke, and tears began to fall. My Eli looked at me with her beautiful eyes, wondering, why mama was crying.
I wanted to jump into my car and drive to her house (despite the fact it was 11:00 p.m.). I wanted to wrap my arms around this wonderful woman and just be there for her.
How my heart is aching.
I cannot wrap my head around this sudden death.
How the tears fail to stop.
I became so close to this family, even teasing every time I walk in the door, "I'm Home!" How I love this family so much.
I pray oh Lord God, please lay your loving hand on this family ... so filled with love and compassion ... please Lord God bless them with your love and carry them during this difficult time. I know when we lift all our pain and sorrow to you Lord God, only You can heal.
Please keep my family friends in your prayers ...
