Feeling Anxious.

My husband is leaving in a few weeks for a mission trip with our church. He'll be gone for a little over 2 weeks. I'm feeling anxious for a number of reasons, mainly I'm praying for a safe trip for my husband and the team.

Last night I had a talk with JC, and I was telling him how sad I was feeling. I still remember when we were dating long distance ... there use to be weeks at a time when we wouldn't see each other, but at least we spoke to one another everyday. However, we're not sure what JC's timeline will be like when he's on the trip, whether there will be internet connection, or how to call one another. But, even though we won't be able to talk everyday, at least we can once in awhile. Honestly, it would be nice if we could skype and then he and Eli could see one another.

It has been a dream of ours to do a mission trip together. We started planning, but got pregnant and had our beautiful Eliana ... and now, to be honest, I'm not ready to leave Eli behind. Perhaps that sounds selfish of me, when I know there's much to do in other countries. But my heart is not ready to leave my daughter behind without both her parents. Although I know she would be in great hands, it breaks my heart to be away from her even for a few hours. So, for now, it will just be JC going, and God willingly ... when Eli's a little older, we can all go together.

Please keep JC and the team in your prayers.
