A New Chapter.

Last week we were surprised with news from a couple of our close friends. They were moving! And both to B.C!! One couple is leaving in a few weeks to move to Coquitlam, and the other couple is moving sometime soon to Kelowna.

Oh man, when I heard about their exciting news, I went from shock to excitement (for them) to sadness (b/c they were leaving) ... all I could say was, "wow!" As excited as I am for this new chapter in their lives ... I must be honest though, the more that I think about them leaving, my heart just sinks and i want to cry. How I'm going to miss them!

In the past few years that we've know our bible study group, we've been through so much and had so many fond memories ... such as late night in pj's at our house, bible studies in pj's (i love'd that!), dinners out, risk/xbox nights, and of course "real" camping ... just to name a few. This close group of friends was an answer to our prayers ... and to see our group grow closer and closer throughout the years has been such a blessing.

We truly have been through so much together, and I believe what bonds us so close together is our faith in our Lord God and how we pray and study together as friends. I'm going to miss our spiritual journey together ... but I thank God for giving us such good friends to build a strong foundation upon.

I'm going to miss them so much ...

Thank you God for your blessings ... please bless our friends with your love, guidance, and protection as they start a new chapter in their lives in B.C.

Oh Kim!
We are so sad to leave too. The entire week we were in Vancouver we did A LOT of crying. It was one of the most difficult decions we ever had to make in our life to leave Calgary. It has been our home, and the city that Wayne and I first fell in love with. We are leaving a lot of friends and family here in Alberta. The last 3 years have been the most amazing for us. Our friends have become our family, and therefore every time we thought about leaving the group and all our new "nieces" and "nephews" we would break down and cry. We have been through so much. However, we know that through things like blogs, phone calls, emails and facebook we can still remain so close as long as everyone puts in the effort, the close friendship doesn't have to stop. It may change a bit, but it certainly can continue to grow and strengthen. We plan on coming back to Calgary as often as we can!
We are going to miss everyone soo much, but we really feel that this is where we are supposed to be. We weren't so sure in the beginning, but the chips continue to fall into place one by one much faster and smoother than we ever could have anticipated. So it is just more confirmation to us that this is the path that we should be going. We will miss you guys so much!
