As some of you know (you oh so faithful readers of mine) ... our group is currently reading the 5 Love Languages ... today we discussed the chapter: Words of Affirmation. One of our "fun" exercises was to write down some positive characteristics or attributes about our spouse and to read it out loud to him/her.
So, I thought I would write "some" of the stuff about my loving husband ...
- he loves me for who i am, despite that i am super corny
- he changes the light bulbs in our house
- he feeds me yummy food
- he believes in me
- he empowers me
- he helps me when i need help with school or work
- he challenges me
- he is sensitive to my sensitive-ness :)
- he doesn't complain when i "over cook" the hamburgers
- he makes time for "us"
- he takes care of me and our home
- he provides for our family
- he prays for and with me
- he helps me build my relationship with our Lord
- he tells me that he is proud of me
- he laughs at my corny jokes
... what are some of the positive characteristic/attributes of your spouse or significant other? Take the time to share it with them ... and then thank God for blessing you with your significant other ...
