Today I was speaking to a wonderful older couple before service at our church. We always sit nearby and exchange kind and warm greetings and light conversations before the service. Yet today, after almost more than a year of knowing them - it was the first time I really spoke to them.
I shared with them something within my heart, and I could feel myself getting teary-eyed about it. I don't know what or why ... but there was just something within me that wanted to share with this couple my concerns and to ask for their prayers ... and then ... they offered ... they said to me, "Kim, let us pray for you ... we will keep you in our prayers". What a joyful and loving thing to say. I could not express my gratitude enough.
I wanted to share this with you as I find one of the greatest gifts is the gift of prayer. Sometimes I am shy to ask for prayers for the concerns that are deep within my heart as I feel that it exposes me ... however, perhaps this is what I am needed to learn ...
... To learn to ask for prayers no matter how difficult ... and to accept God will and not my own.
