School
Well, it was my first week back at school ... now i understand why I am in school for only 3 days a week ... it's b/c the courses are so heavy! Oh my lanta! At first I was contemplating going only part-time because I had a hard time juggling my work and school during the second semester last year. But when I saw my time frame, I thought "okay, I can do it" ... so I thought about picking up another class to get ahead ... when I spoke to my adviser about it - she was telling me that this semester was going to be challenging. Well, she was right! Thank God I trusted my gut instinct and my adviser and didn't take an extra class.
So here's to another semester ... God willingly I will receive good grades again.
Prayer Group
It was our first week back with our Prayer Group as well. I do not know how to express in words how joyful and happy I am when we are studying, sharing, and praying together. God truly answered my prayers when I prayed for a Christian group for my husband and I to belong to.
The other day we studied some topics from Philip Yancey's book - Prayer, Does It Make Any Difference? It is amazing at how many various topics comes up, different stories, prayer requests, thoughts and so forth. I enjoy reading Philip Yancey's books, so of course, I went to Chapters on-line and added it to my wish-list :) My wish-list on Chapters is growing by the day! If only my wallet would too :)
It's awe-inspiring how our Lord God works. Imagine, He guided JC and I to this group of eight individuals, and to our amazement - we not only have similar interests, but are in the same place in our lives. I feel so blessed to have many friends here in Calgary, not just my in-laws, JC's childhood/highschool/college friends' ... but our prayer group as well ... and thank you God that my friends back home haven't forgotten me :) Surrey- I miss you!
