last week i tried to mow the lawn.
okay, you can stop laughing now ... i am fully capable of mowing the lawn you know!!! my brother made me do it when we were younger, so i can do it! well ... it may not be the straightest, but at least it's mowed :)
anyway, here's my story ... i thought that i would surprise my husband by mowing the lawn ... so i grabbed the electric lawn mower ... plugged it into the socket in the garage ... and well, i mowed about 2-3 rows of the front yard ... and then my lawn mower stopped.
i thought "oh-oh".
i checked and re-checked, and couldn't figure out what happened. so i had to call my father-in-law to have a look at my lawn mower.
well, he couldn't figure out what happened either. i was so embarrassed b/c i did not want to leave my lawn with only 2-3 rows mowed ... so i asked my father-in-law if i could borrow his lawn mower. he was so sweet to not only lend me his lawn mower, but he finished mowing the lawn for me ... umnn ... now that i think about it, maybe he was worried that i would break his lawn mower too :) just kidding.
so after the lawn was mowed, the garden was tended, weeds pulled, rocks and pots rearranged i went inside to clean up ... but lo and behold, my garage wouldn't close.
again i thought "oh-oh"
well, after telling my husband when he came home and having him laugh at me ... we figured out that i burned the circuit in the garage when i was mowing the lawn ... hence, the lawn mower stopping and the garage not working.
needless to say, i think i won't mow the lawn for awhile ... maybe i'll just stick to playing on the internet ;)
