Yesterday I had a 'Get Together' with my girlfriends ... instead of throwing me a 'shower' and 'stagette' we had a little get together at Alona's. It was so much fun ... much better than going to see a stripper! Well, for me anyways.
We sat around and told old stories of each other ... the girls then shared old pictures of us ... whoa! What happened to my hair and huge glasses?!? My glasses were 1/2 the size of my face!
The theme for the gifts were for my honeymoon to Italy ... they ranged from tour books, to shawls (needed in the churches in Italy b/c you can't have bare shoulders in the church), memory card for our digital, and of couse (from Daz) a sex book! She is so funny!
I had a wonderful time, and it was exactly what I wanted ... something small and intimate with my closest girls. It was so much fun.
I find that the closer I'm getting to the wedding, I'm getting more emotional about leaving. I can't imagine not being a phone call away from my girls ... but I look at the blessing that I have had to of had these girls in my life all these years. It's like what Florian's mom once said to us, "your childhood friends will be your life long friends"
