Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!

This year was pretty low-key for us, but it was still lots of fun. We had a kids christmas party the week before and celebrated Christmas at JC's parents house ... with lots of food and laughter.

Above is a picture of our Christmas tree ... if you look closely you can see handmade ornaments made throughout the years ... some are made by the kids, and others by JC and I. When JC and I first met we knew that we wanted to get married, so we decided to start a tradition ... we would try to buy souvenirs or make souvenirs from the places we visit or meaningful moments in our lives so that we can put it on our Christmas tree. We have an ornament with our picture in Montreal, our save the date card from our wedding, 2 ornaments with our pictures from our wedding, an ornament from Prague, another from Banff and so on ... I thought it's a nice tradition and makes our Christmas tree more meaningful ...

On the Christmas day we went back to my in-laws house for more food ... and received a very sweet phone call from Christine. My whole family (my family, Faron's and Losanez's) were at Christine's house ... and Christine had the phone passed around so I can talk and greet all my family. I think if I was alone I would of cried as soon as I got off the phone after hearing all my family.

Anne-Marie asked me the other day how I was feeling about being away for Christmas, as this is the 2nd year I have ever spent away from my family during Christmas time. And I told her that I was okay ... b/c I have been so blessed to spend approx 20 years with the Faron's and Losanez' ... however, the part that does make me sad is that I am unable to spend more time with the babies - Lauryn, Isaiah and Tyson. They grow so fast, and sometimes I feel sad not to be there to witness their childhood ... but then again, I always remind myself that God has blessed me with living close enough that I can at least visit a couple times a year ... which is more than some people.

Well, I hope you all had a very joyous Christmas ... may our Lord bless you and keep safe from harm.

God bless, with love JC and Kim

PS
Congratulations to Allan and Hannah who were engaged on Christmas day!! Woo-Hoo!!!
