What a fun weekend!!
After my class on Friday, JC and I drove to Surrey (well, more like JC drove and I chatted the whole way) ... and made it just in time for Kuya and JC to stop by Stepho's to pick up dinner for us :) No matter what, we have to squeeze in time for Stepho's for my husband ;)
On Saturday, Rodney and Jeanette were married at the Cathedral downtown Vancouver ... and wow, what a beautiful wedding.
I couldn't help but get all teary-eyed watching my childhood friend of 20 years, and someone who I see as my little brother get married. I can't get over the fact that, wow, Rodney's married now! I guess it's the same feeling I felt when Nicky, VJ, Anne-Marie, Christine, Kuya ... the whole Fraser Valley kids when we all got married ... wow, we've been together for so long!
At the reception, during the various speeches, it was so beautiful to hear Tita Caring being honored. As I sat and listened to the speeches, I remembered our talks/visits, Tita Caring letting me sleep beside her at night b/c I was scared, the drives to school and dances she would teach us ... Tita Caring was like a second mom to me ... I miss her so much ...
It was a beautiful wedding, and I cannot express in words how happy I am for the new Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Romero.
Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of pictures, I'm going to have to bug some people for copies of theirs, but Randy has a lot of nice one's ... click here to have a look at the beautiful couple and their entourage.
I have lots more to blog about the weekend, but I gotta get ready for school ... so until my next post!!
