Last night I had a reunion with some old friends from Surrey.
Alona and Jay came to Calgary for a weekend getaway, and coincidentaly Janice was in town visiting her boyfriend Matthew. Janice and I decided to surprise Alona and Jay at dinner on Sunday night ... and what a surprise it was!!!
We had dinner at the house, and then coffee and dessert @ cheesecake cafe ... and wow, it felt like I was back home in Surrey. I was so excited and so happy to spend time with my old friends ... I was telling them that it was so nice to be able to reminisce with my old friends in my new home, Calgary. Sometimes when I'm with JC's friends, they are all reminiscing about their old times together, and I miss being able to do that with my own friends.
Alona and I use to joke around that the 3 of us girls were like the girls from friends - Janice was Phobe, Alona was Monica and I was Rachel ... when I look back at our lives, not much has changed. We're still the same - the only difference is that we're older, married, and working.
So, wow, I've been on such a high since yesterday - I miss spending time with my friends ... and I am so thankful for the short time that I had with them.
