We go through life meeting all sorts of people ... and in all people, I try to see the good in them. I always try to be nice and have a good heart towards people whether I know them or not. It's probably the way that I was raised ... as my parents (in my opinion) are very kind hearted and very compassionate. But as I got older, and became closer to Jesus ... in each person that I met ... I tried to see Jesus ... and tried to treat each person as if Jesus was standing right in front of me.
Sometimes life hands us lessons that we once learned when we were children or teenagers, but need to relearn when we're adults. I've had to re-learn a life lesson on people. I've re-learned that sometimes some people use you to get what they want ... and unfortunately b/c your eyes are closed and you want to have an open heart you don't see it until it's too late. Now my eyes are open and I pray that I've learned my lesson well and that although I know I should be cautious in the future, that this experience doesn't make me jaded or stand-offish.
I pray that my heart always be right with Jesus, but that my eyes are open and filled with wisdom and knowledge ...
