Y'know, I spent a week in Calgary when I was crashing at Ben Yu's for a week with Gabe C., James A., and Mark P. There is lots to like, especially with the lower cost of living and the much smaller homeless population hitting you up for change.

One thing, though...it's really hard to find a GOOD Chinese restaurant there. Before, I went to get a cup of something called "Hung Dao Bing" (a drink with sweet red beans, crushed ice, and milk). If you get the ones from little tea house, they're made properly (shaved ice). When I got one from the Chinatown there, they used ice CUBES.
